I've been thinking about that scene and the line about there being no reason to be afraid.... ever. I think fear is the reason for most of our personal and worldly ills and that the most liberated among us are those that can subdue those fears. But I've never really understood death as being a fear that matters so much... or frankly i don't think that i fear death that much. I don't much fear physical death or ego death... it's physical pain or ego pain that i'm afraid of. But to the earlier part of your post, it's those little fears that show up in hundreds of different ways everyday that to me keep us from a truly liberated and joyful experience of life.
