Over a week into the journey, here are a few things I’ve learned about Japan:
- it’s the only country where they apologize to you for not knowing English
- they really enjoy bowing
- they also enjoy wearing slippers indoors
- they are so polite they make Canadians seem like overbearing louts
- they like raw things
- chopsticks are far superior to forks
